Welcome to the Shapland Swim School Buderim; owned and operated by Bonita and Dereck Mills.
Bonnie has been a learn to swim teaching for 12 years on the Sunshine Coast and overseas and has been working for the past 8 years at the Shapland Swim School Buderim. Dereck and Bonnie have both been volunteer surf life savers at a local Sunshine Coast surf club and have a real passion to make your child's swimming lessons a great experience.
On entry to the swim school there are two separate heated change rooms with showers. An air conditioned observation room and office are on you right at the end of the entrance hall. In the pool area there are two separate toilets as well as the fully enclosed heated pool. The roof over the pool in which the swimming lessons are conducted blocks out 100% of the UVA and UVB radiation.
The climate controlled observation room allows family and friends to view the swimming lessons without detracting from the ambience of the swim classes because of unnecessary movement and noise in the pool area.
We are looking forward to meeting you and helping your child learn to swim. Being able to swim is a life long life saving skill.

SWIM CLASSES
We operate on a maximum of three (3) children per learn to swim class with only one (1) swim class in the pool at a time. With the observation area separate to the pool deck your child will benefit with more attention and a private, less distracting learn to swim environment.
PAYMENT DETAILS FOR SWIMMING LESSONS
Before your child can commence swimming lessons there is a booking fee of $13.00 per child. This is a one off payment, payable once your child is placed in the swim school program.
The cost of the swimming lesson is $13.00 and the swim school fees are paid monthly. The fees are due on the first week of every month. Payment of the fees secures a permanent swimming lesson class time.
Families who have three or more children enrolled in swimming lessons in the swim school simultaneously will be entitled to a discounted rate.
SWIMMING LESSON MAKE UP SYSTEM
If you miss a swimming lesson your child will be entitled to a make up swimming lesson as long as prior notice is given (before 9.00 am on the day of your child's lesson) that your child will not be attending their swimming lesson.
