Our chief goal is “Happy children learning to swim and water safety in ideal conditions” Our small swimming classes of 3 give the teachers the time to build a friendly relationship with the children. Three to a learn to swim class also gives more one on one time for teaching skills.

Heated pool

The pool is 32 degrees covered and enclosed, and specifically designed depths to help beginner swimmers of all ages develop their confidence in controlling how to float and regain their balance. This is an important skill in the event of an accidental fall into water.

We offer an unusually high level of comfort and safety to parents and siblings waiting and watching the lessons. The waiting room is air conditioned and has a full view of the swimming lessons. At the same time siblings and other pupils are kept safely away from the pool edge. There is an additional outdoor waiting area with table and chairs for morning or afternoon tea breaks.

Our changing and toilet facilities are poolside so it is just a step or two to the heated change rooms and hot shower. All the change rooms have change tables for babies.

Swimming classes are offered all year around with short breaks at Christmas (3 weeks) and in June or July (4 weeks)

Payment & Enrolment Details

Deposit
Each booking requires a deposit of $28.00.
The deposit is redeemable with two full weeks notice in advance prior to your finishing lessons at the swim school.

Fees
$14.50 per student per swimming lesson
$13.50 2nd child of family or 2nd swimming lesson per week
$12.50 3rd

$12.50 for each child thereafter.

Fees are payable by the calendar month and are due on the first week of each month. e.g. average month for 1 child - $58.00

A late payment fee of $10.00 is charged for any payment made after the 2nd week of the month.

Private swimming lessons
1:1 $30 per lesson paid in advance by calendar month.

In the event of Illness or unavoidable absence from a lesson
A free make-up swimming lesson system is available provided that the absence has been advised by 8am on the day of the swimming lesson or before, this allows time for other parents to telephone after 8:30 and arrange a ‘make-up’ in that space.

Adult swimming lessons are available in blocks of 8 lessons at $128.00 per block.
Swim School fees are paid in advance and there is no refund and no make-ups for missed lessons. (As their mother’s do not bring them adults can often find an excuse for missing a reserved lesson).

We have parking at the swim school door as well as easily accessed street parking in front or across the park in Drummond Street.

We welcome visitors at any time.
